MISSION & PURPOSE

LINS Institute strives to address the interconnecting socioeconomic, geopolitical and environmental challenges confronting the world by serving as a non-partisan international research & education organization (specializing in Diplomacy, Management, Peace & Conflict Studies, Finance, Food Security, Agribusiness, Intl. Development, Gender Equality, Environmental Studies, Justice, and Global Health) in order to:


1.) Build frameworks & solutions that break the cycle of poverty, improve economic equality, encourage cultural appreciation & religious tolerance and generate measurable social, economic & environmental dividends;


2.) Mobilize expert practitioners from academia, industry, and the non-profit sector in support of sustainable development problem solving at local, national and international levels;


3.) Advance applied-based research into development-oriented policies that support low-cost health & education interventions, social enterprise & agribusiness, creativity & innovation, and sustainable development;


4.) Design & develop interdisciplinary, experiential and collaborative based learning material, incubators and accelerators on behalf of our education unit, Discovery Global, and assist its clients reduce fragmentation, compartmentalization, and/or duplication of effort by promoting integrated approaches to the interconnected challenges confronting the world; and


5.) Build partnerships with like-minded top-tier universities, research & medical institutes and NGOs to develop interdisciplinary education & research initiatives, on behalf of our education unit, Discovery Global, with a focus on: Leadership Development, Innovation Management, Natural Resource Management and Social Enterprise, Finance & Justice (LINS).
